Two months and counting!

  For two months, we've had a taste of what life might be like with two daughters, with a high schooler, and with a very social teenager.  Chloe (with an accent on the e) is a talented young woman from France that has landed in our town to make friends with nearly everyone she meets.  She is an exchange student with Rotary Club from southern France.  She communicates well, and is very French with her "pffff!" 
  Scheduling rides is a bit challenging.  Also new for us is relating to two very different daughters that are 10 years apart in age.  Iris wants to hang out with Chloe, but Chloe has made a circle of friends already.  It has helped to have Chloe babysit Iris a couple of times, including a special date night that Brian and I will have to see Joshua Bell in concert.  Yeah!  It's also a birthday present to myself as I'm turning 50 (ugh!). 
  Some memories of the past two months:
1.  Taking Chloe to China Star Restaurant
2.  Eating Cold Stone Creamery ice cream on Chloe's one month anniversary
3.  Going to the zoo
4.  Good night hugs every evening

I pray that when Iris is her age, that she'll have maturity enough and the opportunity to spend a year abroad.  More importantly, I pray that Iris will learn how to love others in the name of Jesus.  Bonne nuit!
